Combine Audio welcomes a new family member, EG.
Ezequiel Gonzalez, born in Buenos Aires and active agent in the scene building through his label, UFR.
In his debut release “Tesla EP” at Combine Audio, EG brings the dub. All three tracks are full of a dub techno feeling. He constantly plays with space, going pretty deep sometimes, using all sorts of echoes, reverbs, ping-pong delays and layers in the background going up and down along the whole trip.
First track “High” brings some dub techno chords riding an offbeat rhythm. All of this spiced up with a bunch of background details and layers that will help you getting lost in the deep.
“Meteoro” walks forward from the beginning to the end with a strong kick and straight hihats but, watch out, there is a 5/4 pulse all along the way that can make you lose your step.
Finally, it’s time to go mental with “Travel”. The title explains himself pretty well. Dub techno fundamentals: Deep kick and sub-bass, glass clean reverbs on the hi-hats and a wide open dubby synth filling the space and constantly evolving to let us travel through a peaceful journey.
